In an interview, CEO Larry Culp said the company is aiming for a 20% to 25% year-on-year increase in the engine deliveries in 2024, lower than a revised 40% to 45% annual growth this year. Still, hitting the target will not be easy as it requires quarter-on-quarter improvements in the supply chain, he said. LEAP engines, which GE produces in a joint venture with France's Safran (SAF.PA), power the narrowbody aircraft of Boeing Co (BA.N) and Airbus (AIR.PA). It forced GE to trim the delivery growth target for LEAP engines this year by at least 5 percentage points and push out some of the deliveries into 2024 and 2025. But the demand for both aftermarket services and new engine deliveries is so strong that GE and its suppliers need to do more, Culp said.

"Potentially, that means between 48 and 96 aircraft being taken out of service whilst airlines arrange for the parts to be removed," Reeve added. They asked the High Court on Tuesday to order AOG and Zamora Yrala to preserve relevant documents and to disclose sales documents relating to CF6 and CFM56 engines since February 2015. "Everybody now knows that AOG parts are not necessarily to be taken to be the claimants' parts," he said. The CFM56 jet engine powers the previous generation of Boeing 737s and about half of the previous generation of Airbus A320s. Britain's Civil Aviation Authority said in August it was "investigating the supply of a large number of suspect unapproved parts" through London-based AOG Technics.

Shares of Honeywell (HON) fell Thursday after the industrial conglomerate reported disappointing second-quarter earnings and forward guidance. The segment margin, similar to an adjusted operating income margin, expanded 158 basis points year over year to 22.4%, edging out analysts' forecasts of a 22.3% margin. Quarterly results Along with strong numbers for its aerospace division, management said the outlook is the strongest its ever been. Though the safety and productivity solutions business remains pressured, we are pleased to see significant improvement in segment margin, even if it came in below expectations. Guidance On a full-year basis, these targets (see chart) represent slight increases at the midpoint, as the lower-end forecasts for sales, segment margin, and earnings were all upwardly revised.

Investors are clamoring for details on the extent of the problem, which Boeing said involves a “significant” portion of the 737 fleet where two brackets were improperly installed. But Wall Street has received little information from Boeing on its plan to fix the problem and the overall financial impact. “I'd like to have some numbers and some scale of the materiality of this, whether it affects deliveries, cash flow and all the rest,” Vertical Research Partners analyst Robert Stallard said. Calhoun said last week that Boeing will not revise current plans to increase MAX production this summer. However, the company has slowed 737 MAX deliveries, and the resulting delivery delay will remove approximately 9,000 seats from airlines’ summer schedules.
Industrial conglomerate Honeywell International (HON) on Thursday reported suboptimal fourth-quarter results, sending shares lower in midday trading. However, we remain confident in the Club holding's management team and would see any further weakness as a potential buying opportunity. Supportive of this outlook is strong demand in Honeywell's aerospace division, where growth has been held back on the supply side. Wall Street Wednesday turned sour on industrial conglomerates Honeywell (HON) and Emerson Electric (EMR) . UBS double-downgraded Honeywell to sell from buy, while reducing the stock's price target to $193 a share from $220. "These are precisely the stocks you need to be in because they are not as cyclical as people think," Jim said of Honeywell and Emerson during the "Morning Meeting." The Club take Our industrial holdings, Honeywell and Emerson Electric, have seen a positive run lately, outperforming the market — a testament to their strength heading into a deepening slowdown. Club holding Honeywell (HON) is a diversified industrial giant that's well-positioned to weather a potential recession in the U.S. next year, according to Bank of America. Bank of America on Monday chose Honeywell as one of 7 top industrial picks for 2023, calling the conglomerate a "top-tier operator." "The company has strong pricing power... and has offset supply chain shortages and Russia-related headwinds," BofA analysts wrote in a research note. We also see its product volume improving as supply chain disruptions ease. An aircraft engine is being tested at Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix.
Profit margins expanded in every operating segment, operating cash flow was better than expected and Honeywell's adjusted free cash flow conversion ratio came in at 124%. Segment Q3 results Aerospace Sales rose 9% year-over-year, to $2.98 billion, ahead of the $2.92 billion predicted by analysts. The segment margin climbed 40 basis points on an annual basis, to 27.5%. Organic sales growth was up 19% compared with the same period last year. The overall segment margin is expected to come in between 22.8% and 23.2%, versus a 22.9% consensus estimate.
We're buying 50 shares of Honeywell International (HON) at roughly $188.29 each. Following Tuesday's trade, Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will own 625 shares of HON, increasing its weighting to 4.06% from 3.75%. From an end market perspective, about 65% of the company's sales are focused on late cycle end markets like commercial aviation, defense, oil & gas, and nonresidential construction. We believe these end markets are less likely to have material earnings revision risks and better positioned to weather a softening macro environment. With this buy, we're repurchasing the full 25 shares we sold at around $198 in late-March plus an additional 25.
